Originally focused purely on materials for the ceramics industry, we now manufacture protective coatings for carbon-based refractories, forging fluxes and extrusion glasses for hot metal forming, and ceramic bonds for grinding wheels, welding rods and ceramic substrates.
James Kent CM Ltd
Cera Dynamics Ltd
Cera Dynamics is our technical glass division, producing high-spec glass compositions via our own melting method, in kilns designed and built in-house. Our technology enables us to manufacture glasses with volatile elements, without the variability in homogeneity associated with open crucible.
We have the flexibility to produce quantities ranging from 100g batches up to 4 tonnes per week for encapsulation glass. We employ several methods for particle size reduction, including fine-grinding technology for sub-micron D50 values.
KMCI Ltd
Formed in 2000, originally to supply basic raw materials to the ceramics and related industries, KMCI’s range has expanded in recent years in line with customer demand.
Our offering now includes ground mixtures and coatings for a variety of ceramic substrates. In addition to our products, customers benefit from our flexible toll manufacturing services, utilising a range of specialist equipment for calcination, wet and dry milling, classification and melting.
Martin Colour Co Ltd
Established back in 1938 as a supplier of ceramic colours and colouring oxides for the local Staffordshire pottery industry, Martin Colour joined the James Kent Group in 2011.
